2009 – a new year…with a new canvas…
So, for those of you who have been following me lately…and that is a multi-dimensional follow (sporadic blog posts, verbal communication, photographic representation, twitter, facebook, et al) you are most likely fully and clearly aware of my new found devotion to the Lord, my God. This blossoming of my soul and dedication has been brought about by the investment of many people into my life. Additionally, this growth has been fostered by my newly found church community through Clear Creek Community Church here in the Clear Lake area of Houston, Texas.
Throughout the course of the past several months and well, the good portion of last year, I had an amazing spiritual transformation that has led me to where I am today. I have recently re-dedicated my life to following God and serving Him through my personal relationships. I have assumed the responsibility of leading a new “Small Group” – most commonly referred to as a bible study – and have spent numerous hours studying the Bible, other books of worship and understanding, and engaged in worship through the form of art (songs, guitar, photography, etc.).
As I begin the new year (2009 for those still confused) I have embarked on a challenge and journey with my church to read through the Bible in a year as a congregation. We have begun this journey using a Bible titled “The Daily Reading Bible – Through the Bible in a Year.” It is an English Standard Version and will be the basis of most every post that will follow regarding my Biblical study. I have taken the past several weeks to shed my old cloak and don a new wardrobe, one that is receptive and loving, one that is open and steadfast, one that is dedicated and devoted to the mission that I embark on.
So, as you begin to follow my sporadic blog posts, I hope that you approach them with an open heart and an open mind. I pray that you view them as a story of how God continues to work in my life as I continue to give my life to Him. Most of all, I pray that you engage in the discussion with me and embark on this journey with us as we seek to fully devote ourselves to our Creator.
God bless and may the masterpiece reach the world!
